N.B. The submission of abstract for the ERS Annual Congress is dealt with by an external partner. The link is available under the Abstract section. Please refer to the guidelines of the external supplier for abstracts submitted for the Annual Congress. You do not have to be or become an ERS member to submit an abstract, but you will have to create your own account in MyERS.
Only abstracts submitted through the online platform are considered.

How to write an abstract?
The Scientific Programme Committee assigns accepted abstracts to Free Communication Sessions, i.e. Oral Presentation, Thematic Poster and Poster Discussion. It reserves the right to decide to which of the three formats a given abstract is allocated. For abstracts submitted in the first round (deadline February 27, 2012) notice of selection, scheduled format and time of presentation will be communicated by end of May 2012. For late-breaking abstracts, notice of selection will be communicated in July.
All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement of the European Respiratory Journal (electronic version only).
For an abstract to be published in the ERJ Supplement or listed Congress Final Programme, at least one of the authors must be registered for the Congress.
Correspondence and further information regarding grants and sponsorship will be sent to the corresponding author only.
Abstract 1st Round
The abstract submission platform is now closed. Notification for acceptance will be sent in May 2012. Application for ERS Sponsorship and Grants are closed (it was possible along the abstract submission of February 2012).
